The Nottinghamshire spa collected their award at the seventh annual Good Spa Guide Awards, held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Tuesday 14th November 2017.
Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest opened its new Forest Spa design to guests in April this year, showcasing the result of a two year reinvention project and more than £3million investment. The transformation saw the spa move from its previous World of Spa concept, to a completely new design which celebrates its stunning forest setting.
The national categories were voted for by more than 100,000 spa-goers in October, with comedian and actress Helen Lederer presenting the awards alongside Anna Ramsay, National Partnerships Manager at the Good Spa Guide.
Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest was shortlisted alongside seven others in the Best for Design category, including The Bulgari Spa, Thermae Bath Spa and Galgorm Resort and Spa. The award was collected by Kay Pennington, Group Spa Manager, alongside Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest Manager Karen Whittaker and Group Leisure Manager Sue Goddard.
Kay Pennington said; “We’re absolutely delighted that Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest has been voted as Best for Design at the Good Spa Guide 2017 Awards. The spa has undergone an incredible transformation during its two year redesign and we’re so proud of the end result. We’ve had amazing feedback from our guests and it’s really special that they voted for us to win this award, it means a lot and is a testament to the team at Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest.”
Sherwood Forest wasn’t the only Aqua Sana Spa celebrated on the night, with the Longleat Forest, Elveden Forest, and Woburn Forest spas each being recognised in the top three of their nominated categories, which were Best Spa for Customer Service, Best Destination Spa and Best Day Spa respectively.
